Has anyone here ever used Reddit?
I personally don’t like it, was considering using it for my project Pulse but I like the traditional forum way.

What does everyone else think?

Once. I had a bad experience with a moderator on there and deleted my account.

I browse it, but I don't have an account and never plan to. I first got into checking it when Crash Bandicoot was getting remade because the respective subreddit was the best place to keep finding new information about it.

Yeah, quickly realized that it isn't my cup of tea and isn't as enjoyable as forums are.

Use it everyday to dive into specific topics. There’s no telling how many subreddits there are.

I have an account and follow some interesting sub reddits. I just scroll for Lol’s. Never make any actual posts.

I have a Reddit, but it is very hard to market your website(s) or at least gauging response for your physical business. It became a echochamber so, I don't care anymore. I met the co-founder, and the guy doesn't have any way of helping me. Meh. Whatever.

Well it is a forum, a place to discuss things primarily. So if you aren't using it for its intended purposes then don't be surprised when things don't work out.

Care to enlighten me then? 🙂
I said it elsewhere:
Reddit is a very hard market to crack into as a new user, so this thread isn't going to net you results or yield results.

To begin with, each subreddit has "rules." Like a Forum. But this is enforced unevenly. I know this, because I EXPERIENCED it.

On the other side of this coin, most moderators are rogue moderators. The ideologues. Mostly leftists.

So, you need someone with a strong reputation on reddit that also adheres to leftist ideologies. This is the truth.

The only time, that makes sense to do marketing on reddit is when you have your own subreddit, but you're going to need to funnel some of your users TO THAT subreddit, make it popular. Then, people outside of YOUR subreddit, can make it even more popular, but this is more a long-term investment via time-sink, and money-sink.

Yes, it's like a forum. YES, but you can be sniped by mods for absolutely anything. If they don't like it, your content is not gonna go public. Basically tribalism. I have a longer explanation, but I don't care to explain it right now. My bandwidth for this crap is gone. I'm tired of this shit.

That's why I prefer classic forums, Sure they're not as active anymore but I can't stand the karma system.

you basically get banned for having an opinion if people disagree.

The karma system isn't inherently "bad," its just that people abuse it to silence others. These SJW's figured out how to work the system to bend the rules in a CCP-style canceling system. Right now, cancel culture is stronger at reddit than any social media website. The censorship that goes on makes Twitter look a bit tame in comparison. Honestly.

Spot on!
It does help the site moderation wise but this whole cancel culture thing has ruined it, Hopefully eventually Reddit can cracked down on people that abuse it.

Yeah, which is what happened to me. The mod banned me off of their sub-reddit forum. I messaged and I asked him why and apologized for offending him thinking that would help diffuse the issue, but it didn't. I even told him it was my first post thinking he might ease up on me for being a beginner Reddit user. It made him worse and he kept dogging me. All he did was constantly slam me. He was completely unprofessional and was immature. I ended up reporting him because I felt I was being harassed. The admin didn't do anything about it but accuse me of falsely reporting him and I got another warning. Then another admin with a different username sent me a warning over the same issue. So I said screw it and deleted my account because the whole thing was stupid. It's like if you irritate the wrong person, they all dog you until they succeed in running you off.
