Ever write desktop apps?

Do you ever write desktop apps (with windows and whatnot)? What kind of frameworks and languages do you usually prefer? 🙂

I've developed a few desktop apps using Java Swing, which is also what I do at work. It works pretty well, and is very easy to develop with, I think.

I have not. I don't see a reason to. I have all the applications that I need for my life.

I occasionally do, but the trend is definitely towards mobile and web applications. Just recently I've been writing a Python IRC bot using Twisted, mainly for fun, but I don't tend to do so much with desktop apps.
