Virtual assistants have evolved from basic chatbots to sophisticated AI like Siri, Alexa, or Grok, managing tasks from scheduling meetings to tackling complex questions with impressive accuracy. But there are challenges: privacy concerns, potential over-dependence, and those moments they feel a bit too intuitive. What's the most interesting way you've used a virtual assistant, and what do you think the future holds for them? I like being able to make a schedule and then upload it to AI and ask it to make sure I didn't miss coverage for certain areas and positions.

Anyone remember Clippy the paperclip for Microsoft?? I hated that thing.

I don't really use any virtual assistants as of this time.

I do remember Clippy! Although, wasn't much he could do back in the day. Minor things as far as I'm aware.

I remember Clippy too! I always thought he was annoying.

I've used Google's AI/chatbot thing, not sure if it has a name, on occasion on my Google Home, but not too much. Usually if I'm downstairs and/or don't have my phone on me, and I have a simple question I can ask it real quick, but that's about it. I've used Gemini a couple of times since it launched to the Pixel phones, but I just haven't had much use for it.

I loved Clippy as a kid lol. But I can see how he would get annoying at times.
