explorer.exe help

OK this has been happening for the past few days that when i use a program or download something via opera Basically everything freezes except the mouse. i know that its explorer.exe thats doing something cause the task bar disappears and the icons disappears like right now my task bar won't open up (is goes off the screen or w/e the setting. And opera froze when i was writting this. its getting really annoying. i have a scan for virus, and one for spybots, and one for trojans but it hasn't found anything at all. HELP!

Is it just Opera that you are having these problems in? If you use another browser, do you have any issues?

What OS?

Os is probably Windows XP, because it's the only one, that I knwo of, that has an explorer.exe

Just end explorer.exe in the processes, hit new task, and type explorer.exe 😉

@folwer, opera freezes on downloads and like right now, Firefox i haven't tried with yet
@antartic, win XP
@Dasher, i did that alot of times.

ATM, malware bytes is frozen, spybot search is frozen, only thing not is opera (atm) and trend micro never froze

Malware bytes just finished it found nothing.
TrendMicro housecall just finished and found nothing

It may just be Opera.

Well i closed opera when i first posted this thread, and programs where still freezing 🙁

Go into your Task Manager, see what process is running the highest, end it, if it's important, it wont let you end it. If you need anything else, PM me and we can talk on MSN

Fixed i uninstalled a few programs i didn't use anymore and have 47% free space, but i do only have opera open...ill post back if it happens again


BTW when this does happen it won't open the task manager

I have this issue on my laptop in the past. I wasn't sure how I fix that.
