We were just looking for the right one. Grant took over after Mourinho as we were already through the season and needed someone quickly (he did a good job). Then we brought in Scolari who was absolute crap. Then Hiddink took over that season but couldn't stay as he had to go back to the Russian squad so we had to find another. But Ancelotti is signing a 5-10 year contract stating he wants to start a dynasty here and establish himself and Chelsea as a force again and if he can do this in his first year I'm sure he can do better next year as he will get some money in the summer to get a couple of players.
I think we can win next year. As Cloverfield said, Ancelotti has signed he wants to start something new at Chelsea and has said he would sign a long term contract. The only worry for me is our ageing squad at the moment.
I know Chelsea hit the post 5 times but Portsmouth were really unlucky. Missed a penalty then Chelsea go and score up the other end. Could have been alot worse though, 6-7, if Lampard scored a penalty and all that hit the post went in..
Well of course not, I was talking about when Portsmouth missed a penalty and Chelsea go and score 2 minutes later. Chelsea were far the better team but if Portsmouth scored that penalty, the game would have been a whole lot different. 😉
Yes but Chelsea were obviously going to have more shots at goal, whether he scored or not. After that Penalty miss by Portsmouth, I don't remember them having a clear-cut chance.
They had 2 shots the entire game. One being the penalty  All very well saying about Pompey missing the penalty and how it could have changed the game however we had hit the post 5 times and missed an open goal before that so if one of those went in I think the scoreline would have been much more than 1-0.
