Facebook Getting Slower

Isn't it me or Facebook is getting slower? I don't often use it and when I do the page takes so long to load and once loaded up it feels slow when Browning around lol...
 
Are you logging in with your computer or with the app on your phone?
 
wondering it's me or anyone else has it.. LOL using chrome..
 
Facebook is slow on login and logging out on both Chrome and Firefox (which is what I use). I tested both browsers to see if I could tell if Chrome was running slow and at first after logging in it was choppy to scroll the pages but then it was fine after the first 30 seconds. Otherwise, no problems noticed.
 
Yeah it's been lagging for me as well. Maybe the lag will annoy people to the point where they use another platform, say forums? 😛 That would be wishful thinking. Btw they removed tags in groups too. One of my mods found out yesterday, they were there last week.
 
Last 2 weeks the facebook is going through updates. There are elections going on in many countries and facebook is updating the algorithm to match that. I remember there was 1 hour downtime of facebook last week.

FB is so darn big with so much traffic they should not be slow
 
I don't use Facebook.

But, if I had to guess, it's probably loading a load of things in the background.
Also, a lot of modern website design patterns involve terrible performance, but hopefully higher developer productivity.

In theory yes, but since cambridge analytica scam. They seem to be running the new algorithm once a month and also influencing the crowd so the background process definitely running slower and slower.
 
I don't use Facebook at all and I never will.

But if Facebook is being slow then.....Maybe our Boi Lizard-Zuck is cooking up some Glasses of Water in the Background

Ha ha, I think Zuckerberg's partner has been hired again! He keeps turning off the servers! 😀

I checked today the loading of videos was so poor. and they wish to compete with youtube.
 
I rarely go on there, so I never notice speed differences from previous times. TO note, if you are on there often, then your browser probably has junk filled up from Facebook, and a good clearing might solve it.
 
I think cause of the tons of Ads Facebook running and user online on it within the groups and chats etc. And I think a lot of spam sharing going on?
