When I mean sorta, I mean it's not totally a dislike button. Here's what Facebook said:

It's not clear that it would actually be called a "dislike" button. The tool wouldn't be for expressing disdain for posts, he said. Instead, it would be for showing empathy for posts that seem inappropriate to "Like," such as news of natural disasters or loved ones dying.

"Not every moment is a good moment," he said. Facebook is working on the tool, he said, but gave no release date.

They also launched Facebook like, which is a streaming service like Twitter's Periscope. 😱 Here is the full article:

What do you guys think?

I thnink as long as it's not abused (people 'disliking' random posts for no reason) it should be fine, but I think it will raise causes for concern if something good was posted like a pic or status, and some random person/your friend decides to mess around. 😛

If people actually used it for that it'd make it a lot easier for me to know who to nuke from my list.

I'd love to have that. People that I know in real life post a lot of dumb stuff on Facebook or spam the public feed with a bunch of nonsense for me to see to the point where I have to quit following them. Maybe if I dislike it, they will quit posting it.

According to Mark, Dislike term is not confirmed yet but similar term may be used instead. But it resembles as a word to sympathy i.e when there is accident we can use sympathy buttons like this may be.

I think our FB should add Like ad Dislike too, LOL just kidding. I think Mark should have had add this long time ago

I think it's good in a way and in a way kinda crazy. They should have never had a like feature in the first place as it's constantly abused. I admit I will go through my news feed and click like on every single thing 😱

I imagine if you dislike someone's post though they might take some silly offense to it. I've known people..especially family to get worked up over the tiniest things on Facebook.

There should be a "Distain" button

Anyway, a dislike would probably just cause trouble. 😛 Not sure what this other button would say. "Support?"

I wonder how that is gonna go down. Youtube uses that system instead of star based system. Star based system is better because you gauge for mark for quality of your content. Let's hope those crashes wasn't the result of those dislike implementations. 😛
