I have noticed on Facebook it says "This feature is being rolled out and be to you soon" why doesn't Facebook just release the feature globally then slowly rolling it out.
It is to do since they run on separate databases or something else.
I understand there massive but can imagine running on seperate databases must complicate things.
I think it's to hype up the users. I mean that's why Apple only has a couple of conferences every year. It's to build hype and not release things every couple of weeks.
I guess it's just a heads up for the fb users. If they're major changes, then it's good that fb are informing their audience, just in case you get the odd person saying 'What happened? I wasn't told about these updates!'.
This is called changing management. If you get a suddenly changing, you will be shocked, the result can be very bad that FB can not deal with this. Slow changing is a good way.
The new features being rolled out are for engaging with posts.. Everyone wanted a dislike option, but rather than add that (which wasn't a good idea as it could cause a ton of issues cyber-bullying wise), they've added some new options such as hearting a post. There's a few more but I can't remember them off my head, I'm sure if you Google them you'll find out more.
At the moment though they're only being rolled out to users in Spain and Ireland, with the rest of the world getting them before the end of the year.
