Facebook's new 'Ticker' feature.

What do you guys think of the new Ticker feature that Facebook just a few minutes ago?

Really isn't much of a point, but at least it's off to the side and non-intrusive.

I'm just glad they got rid of that horrendous sidebar chat.

Above the chat, it updates the statuses.

Actually it's an old feature, they just made it global now I guess. I have seen it already quite long time ago.

But I like it.

I saw it for a moment, I hated it, I refreshed my page a couple times because I didn't want to delve into my settings to turn it off, then it disappeared.

So pointless. I hope it doesn't come back.

It was above the chat sidebar, it just showed status updates. Which is what the homepage did anyways though, so I didn't see a point in it at all. I guess if people wanted to just see statuses and not anything like new photos or who changed their profile picture, they could check that...

Yeah. Had I have noticed that I doubt I'd be a fan.
Then again, my chat is always disabled. I see that as fair pointless too...It's just annoying.

I disabled my chat too for a while, but that was just because I didn't want someone to annoy me constantly 😛 I guess they just wanted to test the ticker, but it was on there for a short period of time so something might have been wrong with it. It's not like they actually listen to the members' opinions there, so it's unlikely that there was some sort of immediate outcry about it 😛
