Factors in Selling

On the movie (comedy) Tommy Boy - it was said by David Spade that when Chris Farley was selling, he should not only be selling the product, but at the core, selling himself.

Anyway, another thing needed is likability - something I think that would be included in the above. For instance, fundamentalist Christians like Chick-Fil-a - but it's not the food - but rather the commitment of the church to Christian beliefs. Anyway, it could also be said, negatively, that some people won't buy things, even good things, from companies - cause the political views or some other, not specifically relevant thing - abhors them.

OK, what are some other things in selling?

Well, people like to go where they're known. That was the appeal on the comedy sitcom - Cheers - and that rings so true (You want to go where everybody knows your name.)!
