We are now entering the era of fake news. Haven’t you noticed that the social media networks is rife with false news every day? I have been receiving private messages about this and that which I reply with “nonsense” just to give the sender a food for thought. Why the need to spread lies? I’ve heard that Facebook had declared to curtail the spread of fake news. And if you share a false news, your account can be suspended. That’s great news for me.
Where have you been? Its been there since the dawn of TV, Magazines, and now, Social Media. It's just that fake news is getting popular now than ever. Wired was fake news, those magazines that you find on your local grocery store's exit stands (the ones sitting next to the cash registers) are mostly fake news, CNN, and some propaganda news organizations are sometimes fake news, I can go on and on.
Nothing is more fake news than CNN, but hey in North Korea people are forced to listen to propaganda, in the US people do it willingly by watching corporate media.
Speaking of North Korea, they need to get their head out of their ass. Fuck, it's like they want to bring on something that is no longer a "thing." I feel like Kim Jong-un is living under a rock when he makes those proclamations about United States
So websites that that deem to 'censor' information based off opinion of what is fake news or not. Is similar to what Nazi Germany did. It is a good way to control information and pick and choose what people should believe and what they don't want people to believe. It helps keep people ignorant and gives power to big wigs to control what kind of information they want us to trust. So in the end you can't really say you will be getting reliable information unless you say you trust Facebook a multi-billionaire business or multi-millionaire corporate medias (like CNN, CBS, NBC, etc) over independent sources.
But this results in civil wars, like what we're seeing with North Korea and U.S., it only escalated when Trump and Kim Jong-un were in the same room or spoke over the phone. It's not really a good thing. It's a bad ting to us, but it's a good thing to the corporations - because people tune in, to hear "what's going on" but all that negativity that the media feeds you are actually lies. There was a video I shared that would prove my point here...
The concept of "Fake News" was created by CNN late 2015 when CNN started criticizing and saying independent sources of information can not be trusted and are "fake news". That only "big brother" can be trusted to give us reliable information.
Let that sink in.
Nope. It existed long before CNN. They're called "tabloids."
So if you as an individual like big businesses control what you read and see. Then you would love to live in North Korea.
Actually, not true, either... North Korea, and countries like it, have only. ONE. channel. That's it. We have the luxury of many channels, problem is: Not many of them are news organizations. The big ones are CNN, Fox News (KTVU in my area), Kron4, NBC, and then countless others that I'm forgetting. Point is, North Korea is a communist country. So, it blocks off anything and everything that has to do with social delivery. North Korea wants its people to understand only ONE thing, ONE philosophy, and what have you. No different views. If you have a different view, and it challenges North Korea's morals - you're tortured, or dead. That's how bad it is.
