Your Quick Review
Pros:
This is, without a doubt, a very nice looking forum when first logging on. Very inviting, and well layed out. The colors chosen are very slick and stylish, nothing too dark, and nothing too bright. The yellow colored text links add well to the look, as well; the perfect color to compliment the skin, and make those board titles and other links stand out.
The Banner is very nice, as well. Though, is does seem very plain. The text font is amazing, it just really feels empty with all that surrounding space you coulda used.
Your Board layout, and listing is superb in that you don't overload one category with excessive boards, you seem to have divided them up very well; though, I'm going to list a few suggestion down below on some sections I feel may be being misused.
Cons:
The Rules And Strikes section has got to go, in my opinion.. You don't want a section showcasing members who were banned or broke a rule. Keep stuff like that in the staff board, away from the public eye. It makes the staff team look proud on banning members, and showing members why. If those members had a good enough reason to be banned, then just ban them, and let it be. All you really need, is your Forum Rules topic from that section, and place it in the Forum Updates Board as a sticky/global announcement. There's no need for one whole section on the Rules. You can even change you first category to something like, Forum Rules a& Updates. Both of those fit well together.
Your New members board should be one of the first section new members see when joining, and the perfect place for this location is the last board in the first category; placed under your Suggestions & Questions board.
As good as your skin matches up, I can tell it's a premade template, with premade icons. Everything looks great, I just feel you may want to get some custom board icons for New/Old posts on the Index page. Folders as images are very default, and plain. It's always nice to see when a forum has custom board icons, that reflect the genre/theme of the forum.
Final/General Thoughts:
Overall, as I said, my first impression coming onto your forum was solid, so you definitely have a great looking forum, that when guests interested in the genre arrive, the look is going to help convince them to register and stick around. I just feel you need to add some personal touches; not just using a pre-made template as it is; but customize it a little to reflect your forum genre/theme.
What was most liked about the website/forums:
Everything about the look and skin. Everything really sycned up well, and was an eye pleasing forum to look at while reviewing.
What was disliked most about the website/forums:
For me, it really has to be the forum board icons. They're default icons, and really look plain. And, also, just the vibe the banner sets off, with only text, and nothing else to set it aprt from the rest of the forum. Really looks like it was branded against the background, with nothing else that helps showcase what the forum is about.
