Does the idea of falling asleep only to never awake again terrify you?

Why or why not?

When I was about 3 I felt scared because that's how the adults described death. Now, it's probably the easiest way to go, right?

I think it'd be a nice way to go. To just go to sleep and pass into Oblivion. My mom told me a very brief story about how one of her friends had told a mutual friend of theirs that she had heart born the night she died. Her heart gave out as she slept.

Honestly this is the way I would like to go. I'm afraid that I'm going to suffer prior to passing away. I know eventually your brain releases endorphins to help with the pain and eventually you get to a point where you're not even aware you're dying anymore.

The only thing I know for sure is when I'm dead I won't give a flying fig how I diedgiggle.gif

When it's time to leave this world, that seems like the best way to die. I don't think I've ever had that fear. As a kid, I more so feared what could sneak on me while I was asleep.

Well, if we ever have a sleep over, I'm definitely getting you with the mustard. XD

When I had my 3rd child, one day I sat and thought about death, and it scared me a lot, thinking about how they would cope without me if I passed.

It does worry me that one day I may fall asleep and no wake but I feel that is only normal.

I feel as though the thought is scary, but it's the most peaceful way to pass.
