Ever fell asleep on the bus where the driver had to wake you up at the arriving destination, and you were meant to get off several stops ago? #longwalk
Luckily for me, I can doze off on the bus, and automatically wake back up, based on how hard the bus rocks back and forth with stops. And in any case, before I need to switch buses, the bus rolls into the transit center. If the turns coming into the neighborhood doesn't wake me up, the bus pulling in there does.

Many times. My biggest mistake was riding busses or trains that drop you off at a location you don't recognize, but past your destination. Meaning you'd have to wait for the next ride and pay for the second ride. For not knowing where to go or snoozing off.. gah.
This actually happened 2017, after a night of pitching. I snoozed off, and woke up as we were about to leave the final destination. I ran as fast as I could to the other end of the train to signal I want to leave. The guy opened it for me. Thankfully.
If I had stayed there, I would've went back to San Francisco or any location in-between. Meaning I'd be sleeping overnight there. Again. The first time was MY fault staying in SF by myself.
This is currently dangerous right now in California if you snooze off.
I've always lived rural so except for riding the school bus, I never had to take a bus nor taxi. But to answer the question, I wouldn't fall asleep. I need peace & quiet & my own surroundings to do so.
Falling asleep in a bus for me depends on the distance of the journey as I do fall asleep when the journey is a long distance one, I wouldn't mind falling asleep for while to rest my body but if it is short distance I don't fall asleep no matter what happens to me.
