I have noticed that sites with fancy designs are slow to display particularly when the Web page is full of graphics and animation. When I am surfing, I tend to exit the site if it takes time to display the entire homepage. This usually happens when I am searching for a hotel for a foreign trip. Some sites have lots of photos which are very slow in displaying the menu so I would exit and click on the next site on the search engine's list.
