I know that there are people who dislike small communities, namely because of farms that are usually around them, but seriously though, who would legitimately dislike a farm? A farm is the thing that grows the food that you get at the store! I always thought that people who disliked farms were not thinking about what they did for the world. If we didn't have farms, there would be no fresh fruits, vegetables, and other things that creates your favorite food!

What are your opinions?

Living in agricultural state (California), farms are a part of life, can't really drive anywhere with out seeing one. Who has an issue with farms?

I live in New Zealand. As a large percentage of our exports are agricultural (mostly milk powder), if you don't like farms you have to leave.

I don't hate them, but I dislike the environment there. I do like that they make my fruits and vegatables. But I hate going to a farm and stepping on some dog poop or cow poop or something like that. I feel really icky, I myself live in a suburb.

I have lived in cities, and even in rural areas (I currently live in a farming community), that there had been a number of people who I personally had over heard, or had told me themselves, that they didn't exactly like farms, because of various reasons. One of the reasons I heard was that it is a waste of land to grow food, that can otherwise be used for showing how beautiful land could be, if it had trees and other things on it.

I come from a small, rural town and farms were a part of growing up. Don't see the point of this topic, but YES why dislike a farm. 😛

I guess those people don't eat? 😛

I live in a small town, there are plenty of farms around here. I see no reason to dislike them.

I would rather be on a farm , then in a city, I guess each to his own, but to me cities are nasty, smelly, ugly, places nothing but smog, traffic jams, and drug dealers. I don't see how people can live like they do in the cities, all packed into apartment buildings, and at night you can not even see the stars. I feel sorry for those people.
Sometimes on a farm, there is not much money, but no matter, there is always plenty of food. Even better then a farm, is the "wilderness", no farms, just beautiful scenery, mountains, hills, woods, valleys, pastures, rivers, beautiful music, the wind, birds singing, the sound of a mountain stream, and no need for money, everything one needs is there, growing, if one knows where to look. I feel sorry for the people, trapped, locked into their cities, like slaves.Edited: oops!

Kind of bizarre reasoning there.

You described a city as if it was a jail cell, which it isn't. City dwellers aren't locked/ trapped inside and the stars are still in the sky, the wind still blows and the birds still sing.

People who live in farm areas still need money and still have expenses and still have bills to pay just like everyone else.

Anyway, I would still prefer to be on a farm, then in a ciry.

..and that's your preference, no need to "feel sorry for" people who have different preferences.

:cheer:

I occasionally do feel sorry for people's preferences, but we cannot change that. 🙂

Correct, we cannot change your jugementalness. 😛

Just like how someone else cannot change your preference. 🙂

Either way, one who thinks one way, has to be willing to change his thoughts, in order to think a different way. Or atleast be more accepting. 😉

Says who? My preferences can easily change. I'm not set in my ways.

-Edit- What are we even talking about?
