I just got a new laptop, and have manually transfered all my bookmarks (via email to myself), but now I need to transfer all of my pictures. (which is in the 1,000s) Instead of trying to upload them all, blah blah, is there a faster way to copy them all to send in an email..or something? I need to have these images.

Not really, I think using a usb stick will do the job and be the fastest possible way.

USB stick is good. If you have an external hard drive, you could move all the images onto that then from that onto the new laptop. What i did is use my iPod and move loads of files onto that and then take them off on my new laptop. It depends on the capacity (and also if you have an iPod aswell :lol🙂

Hm. When the the email thing comes up, and I try to send it, it says "Insert host name". What do I put there?

You could try to compress a compressed folder to try and reduce the size of the file if you can only transfer it via email.

For the second part, what email interface are you using?

If both of your laptop have Gigabit (1-10GBps) wired Ethernet network cards/adapters or 802.11N then you can set up a peer to peer network to transfer them over via p2p networking.

You can also try a program like Teracopy which claims to copy files faster then Windows Explorer.

Otherwise, USB drive, or Firewire drive will be your best option since it is simple.
