Fatal Error please help

I don't know what happened but today morning when i visited my phpbb forum, it said cache/ is not writable but when i tried to change its permissions then it didn't allow me to do that, it said "Read only file system". What do i do? Please help!

SO you are saying it didnt let you CHMOD it to 777? Try again, and if it dosent work just download the cache direcotry, then delete it and reupload and try again to chmod it.

Might not work but I would try it.

I would ask this question on the phpbb support forum, or it might be a host related issue.

Double check that everything has the correct CHMOD settings. If that doesn't work, phpbb.com/community will be your best bet. 🙂

its your forum Host Issue.. Please Contact your Forum host Support, They Can solve it , if you are you self forum installer just goto your html/home/username via FTP and change your CHMOD to 777 or 755 ! Hope so your Problem will sloved !

As above it's not a phpBB issue. Just go into your FTP (if you have access to it, if not ask your host) and chmod your cache folder to 777.

Actually my webhost was migrating their server thats why i was unable to chmod my files but everything is fine. Thanks for all your hep guys
