Recently, I have just be so tired I can't concentrate on anything and all I really want to do is sleep. Take today: I went to bed last night at 11:00pm and woke up at 6:30am. That's 7 hours plus of sleep. I was tired when I woke up. Then, I've taken two naps that both lasted two hours today and I'm still tired. It's so bad I can't focus on my coursework or study properly...

I'm a healthy male with no health problems and I can't figure out what could be contributing to it...

Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone have any tips? 🙁

As I said elsewhere, there's a lot of different things that this could be. Excessive caffeine intake, too much junk food, ADHD, etc. can all be factors in exhaustion.

Anxiety is another possible factor. Do you have anything in your life that has recently changed which may result in extra stress to cause anxiety?

Are you waking up to an alarm? For me, if I wake up naturally with no alarm I'm fine but if I use one to wake me up, I'm always tired no matter how much sleep I've gotten...

Plus, oversleep can make you tired and by taking naps, you are oversleeping. 🙂

I'm sorry, I don't really have anything else to say because you don't seem to be having trouble actually sleeping, just staying awake in that day.

One thing I find is if I wake up a little earlier than intended and I feel awake, but decide to go back to sleep for a little extra as I have the time for it, I wake up feeling more tired than I did when I originally woke. If you do that maybe that's a thing that contributes.

Also, even if you sleep well your body still needs energy from food and stuff. I have no health issues but if I don't eat well for a part of my day I start to feel the effects from it even if I slept well.

A lot of different things can cause fatigue and excessive tiredness. Before I got pregnant, I was sleeping on a screwed up schedule. I would be up from like 9AM until 12PM the next day, over 24 hours. Now that I'm pregnant, I just can't seem to focus or stay awake for long periods of time. I end up falling asleep every few hours for 2-4 hours at a time.

Make sure you're eating healthy and are getting enough calories. Also, make sure you are getting enough iron and B vitamins.

Also, make sure to exercise frequently, as sitting around all day makes you feel sluggish. Contrary to popular belief, resting more than you need to will not give you more energy.

If you do exercise enough and have a healthy diet, than I would recommend seeing a doctor.

Contgrats, by the way 😉

I'm used to having between 6 and 6.5 hours sleep and I usually feel ok but lately I have been a bit more tired than usual so I am trying to top up on sleeping during the weekend. Thing with me is, if I have too much sleep during the week say 8hrs, I feel more tired and yawn! Can't win
