IOFlood.com are my favourite. Gabe @ IOFlood goes above and beyond. He's incredibly helpful and IOFlood have a fantastic business model for selling dedicated servers.
The host I have now is a small reseller, and I would not call it my favorite. If I had to, I would choose Inmotion hosting however I've never actually been hosted on another company. 😛
I usually default to HostGator when I need a host for a project, but Arvixe is good too. I like both because their customer service is great and I've seen them talked about on other webmaster forums too. HostGator was the one I tried ages ago after not enjoying my time with GoDaddy. HostGator was a lot faster than GoDaddy when I was hosting with them and I never had any issues setting systems up with them. Arvixe I only used once, but they were very professional and knew what they were talking about.
