For those who do drink (You better be of age too 😡 ) what's your favorite beverage to drink?

Back when I owned my house I turned one of my detached garages into a B&B (Billiards & Bar) Logo.webp Yes... I made a logo for it XD even have a customized Que ball for it as well. Anyway, I've been into mixology since after my first deployment and absolutely love to make drinks. However out of everything I've learned my favorite drink still has to be something super simple, which is an Old Fashion. Nothing beats whisky, simple syrup (I do this instead of muddling the sugar cube), orange bitters, and aromatic bitters. It's just a pleasant taste, you still get the delicious taste of the whisky on top of the rest which compliment it perfectly.

That being said, as stated. What is your favorite beverage to drink? (P.S. I don't judge as I love fruity drinks, and also will openly drink them in public 😉 )

Honestly the classic Rum and Coke has to be my favorite as I always end up going back to it and using it when I just don't know what to order. It is not my favorite tasting drink or anything, but just too hard to pass it as my all time favorite. Fruity drinks are quite good in my book, although I normaly just order whatever is special for the bar I am at and never remember the name of things lol.

Add a splash of lime and it turns into a really good drink. It's called a Cuba Libre and it's really good!

I had someone add a lime to a fairly boring drink I ordered a few weeks ago and it added a lot. It wasn't a Rum and Coke, but seems like limes as a solid choice for many things. It was a Gin based drink, but not with tonic.

Lime, oranges, and lemons are kind of the go to. Oranges mostly for a lot of things. It's crazy how expressing the juice from the peel can add so much to a drink but it does.

Is what illegal? It's not an actual company or anything. It's my personal bar, I don't charge for anything :tearsofjoy: THAT'D be illegal
Nevermind when I read that I was thinking you had like a underground party thing going on lol

I guess I've been drinking Redd's since I was 17-18 years old. It was an easy alcoholic beverage to get into when you first get into drinking. There's apple (the most common), blueberry, peach, black cherry, etc. Black cherry is my favorite by far. I had a couple of those big cans of Redd's Wicked Black Cherry Ale at a party just a few hours ago actually.

As far as prepping my own drinks, the only thing I ever do on my own is margaritas. We always have tequila in our freezer.

You should try Angry Orchard if you haven't already. That's my go to when it comes to store bought cider.

Cider 😉
Have you ever made your own? In most states in the US you're allowed to make 200 gal a year 21+ per person in your house hold. I make a gal or 2 a month and completely prefer it over any store bought as I can control how much Alcohol percentage, how sweet, what it has, etc. 🙂

Nope, I have a bottle of small cider once in a blue moon, I do not have many alcohols, Not a big drinker. I like ciders since they are very refreshing and tests nice and also goes well with most meals

I’ve got Angry Orchard in my fridge right now. Store was out of Redd’s. I prefer Redd’s. It’s more like a really sweet beer, rather than a hard cider.

I’ve typically gotten Angry Orchard at sports bars because it’s on draft at a lot of places I’ve been to. I wish I could Redd’s on tap. Alcohol always tastes better on tap.

See I'm the exact opposite lol. I prefer AO > Redd's due to it tasting too much like beer. I do not like beer personally, I'm a spirits type of guy myself so AO has more of a hard cider taste than a beer like taste 🙂

Seems to me I stick to what most pubs offer and that's Strongbow or Old Mout.
