There are various blogging platforms out there, with WordPress being the main one and by far the most popular. However, there are plenty of alternatives, such as Ghost, Drupal, Astro, Joomla, Hugo, and Blogger.

So, which blogging platform do you prefer? Is WordPress your go-to, or do you lean toward something like Ghost or Astro?

WordPress has always been my go-to. Relatively easy to use, nice themes for free users (though the paid ones are nicer, as always), and great if you don't think you're going to be able to commit to the project.

I prefer Joomla to every other blogging software. I think it's easier to navigate the ACP compared to Wordpress and it's default theme looks better than the default ones you get with Wordpress.

WordPress for me. Over 40% of the internet uses it.

There is a lot of drama with WP right now over the WP Engine crap. But the good thing coming out of it is the updating strategy changes. Now they seem to be focusing on improving the core more and less adding new features. We need a faster WP that performs better - work on that. Addon makers can make new features!

WordPress has always been my go-to and always will be. I have found over the years of using WordPress, I have learned so much and found it the best to create the blogs and websites I have in mind.

I have tested Ghost and Hugo, even Wix and Weebly but Wordpress remains the best

My favorite blogging software is WordPress. It’s versatile, user-friendly, and offers a wide range of themes and plugins, making it easy to customize and manage content effectively.

Was going to say WordPress , then again you can make do with any form of software nowdays even with IPS

After about 20 years, I've started playing with Joomla again.
And overall so far, I'm fairly happy with it. I'm evaluating other scripts to run my primary site on since the forum is not the main draw.
Right now I have a development site of Joomla set up. I will say that I'm fairly happy with what it offers, but many things I need, like a resource manager similar to Xenforo XFRM, don't exist for it. It is also a learning experience since I am not that familiar with it. And usually I can catch on pretty quick. So it's either age telling on me or it is simply alien to how I am used to administering a software.

Ghost or Astro are lower popular even from drupal and prestashop and joomla

Don't blog anymore but Wordpress will always be the favourite for me. The fact that it has so many resources available and can be heavily customised is great

Did not find the time to redact articles even once a week?
