Favorite Brand of Tablet?

I currently use a Google Nexus 7. I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro but I don't like it very much, mainly because it runs Windows 8, and I'm not that fond of Windows 8 anymore.

I don't have a favorite brand of tablet, I don't like them.

Devin, as someone that sells iPads, they are tablets. Now, if you really want to get technical, Steve Jobs never wanted to call them a tablet. This is because when the Microsoft tablet came out, he quoted, "people don’t want that." If you want to go further, here is the definition of a tablet:

[A] computer that accepts input directly onto an LCD screen rather than via a keyboard or mouse.

Now, back to the OP. I have owned both an iPad and the Nexus 7, and I liked both for their respective reasons. If you are looking for a budget friendly tablet, then the Nexus 7 might be the ticket. Overall, for the price point, it's a great tablet with nice looking internals that make it the best bang for your buck. Very smooth OS because it's running vanilla KitKat and doesn't have to render pointless TouchWiz or anything else. Very sleek tablet 🙂

I own an HCL Me tablet. Its local made but serves my purpose because I dont use it much anyway.

Amazon is my favorite, definitely. The kindle fire customer support is great when i don't know how to do something. And it is fast and easy to use. It is also much cheaper that an ipad and you can trade your old kindle in for a new one if it breaks even if it is three years old without warranty (like mine) you still get a decent discount.

An IPad is different than a Tablet. An IPad has an app store, the tablet's have google play.

Uhh, no - an iPad has an app store, a tablet has an app store (called Google Play, ironically) - so they're the same.

the iPad is Apple's tablet line, Google instead built the Nexus 5 (I think), etc.

Same thing, different OS.

Okay here's more proof that they are different,

1. The iPad is a single product while Android tablet is a common name for a variety of products

2. The iPad runs on the iOS while Android tablet runs on Android

3. The iPad lacks flash while Android tablets have it

4. The iPad does not have true multi-tasking while Android tablets do

5. The 5. The iPad has more apps than Android tablets

Doesnt matter TABLET is the general name for any "Lap computer". Doesnt matter the company, Ipads, Fires, Windows thing are all tablets. The official definition is this:
a very thin, portable computer, usually battery-powered, having a touchscreen as the primary interface and input device and lacking a physical keyboard and lid.

I've got a Nexus 5 from Google, and that's pretty nice. Well worth the money I put into it, and I haven't had any issues with it so far. iPads are okay, but they're a little too pricey for my liking, as are much of Apple's products; not really a huge fan of Apple's stuff lately because it's so expensive. n_n Samsung's tablets have been pretty nice from what I've seen, and the one Windows tablet I've seen in use looked nice with the Windows 8 (which is probably the only place Windows 8 belongs is on a tablet or a phone, but that's a separate issue not meant for this thread).

My first and currently owned Tablet is a Nvidia Shield Tablet. I am really enjoying it so far. 🙂

I also got a shield, absolutely love it. I find myself reaching for that over my iPad a lot of the time.

I have tried the iPad once when some family came over during the summer. They had one and I tried it I never really liked it much. I am so happy I went with the Nvidia Shield Tablet. 🙂

I owned an iPad for awhile, about two years actually. I wanted it for school, but I could never really get good use out of it in a classroom. I sold it to my girlfriend's dad.

I like the Microsoft Surface line of tablets as you can be very productive on them 🙂

Nothing beats what Ipad's are producing to be honest. Personally, though, I prefer Samsung Galaxy.
