Firefox 3 for me, though I've been considering experimenting with Chrome.
Ghost said:I was not relying on pure figures and percents to come up with the fact its the 3rd widely used. I was basing that statement off the fact that IE6 and IE7 should be combined, and counted as one. Usually, in the browser wars, and topics with polls regarding which one is the best, only 3 choices appear, IE, FireFox, and Opera. Chrome is next to unheard of by anyone other than web programmers, unless you happen to see their ad on youtube. Safari is the default browser for Mac's, which accounts for its use. Thats also why IE (all versions) beat FireFox as the most used browser, because it comes standard. Also be aware that many statistics may have an incomplete or faulty browser detection. It is quite common by many web-stats report programs, not to detect the newest browsers.
Sorry for not stating how I came up with that figure, but I didnt want to bore you with a long paragraph such as this detailing why I said what I did. My point is still proven as before, only now theres an extra paragraph to read.
I've only checked IE8 to see how my site design looks in it, and it's not that bad actually (it isn't chopped up so that's good), it seems an improvement but IE is still a terrible browser compared to FF, Safari, Chrome etc.thedudeman said:Going with FF3. ~smile~ I also think IE8 has greatly improved over IE7.
