Fear of Needles?

Are you one to be scared of needles and if so how do you overcome the fear? I usually swear until the needle is out. :lol:

The nurse knows more advanced words.

I thought you were talking about a sewing needle from the title.

Nurse needle, haven't had many in my life. I just kinda hold my breath in while the nurse pokes me.

Sewing needle on the other hand, i burn them (to get rid of the germs) and pass it through under my skin. I'm not emo, it doesn't hurt at all.
I just pass it through under my skin, a few mm's that's all.

Before going to the army, I didn't like much the needles, however, I had to go in south america for 8 month on mission and for that, the nurse though that my body was a dart target, sometime having to take 3 needles at one (one in each arm and one on my back) since then, I am not bothered

Yikes. I don't have a fear of needles unless it is something major or on certain occasions. Its not really anything, though. I don't like getting them, I just don't have a fear of them 97% of the time. I overcome the fear just by closing my eyes, looking away, and thinking it only takes a second, which it does. Then I ask for more :lol:

Nah, usually that needle is there to help you in the long run. Crack a few eggs to make an omelet 😛 doesn't hurt too bad either

As a tattooist of course I don't have a fear, actually I'm the opposite, needles are a fascination to me, ok sticking someone is different to getting jagged yourself but it's not a really bad pain, just a small scratch, it's the fear that hurts more than the actual needle. The more you tense up the more it hurts too so tell yourself it doesn't hurt and chances are you won't hardly feel it. Also different area's feel different so find the area that you can cope with best 😉

I hate getting my blood taken, but shots don't bother me. Any other form of needles do however. I'm weird, I know

That is the same with me 😛 I just don't like the needle in my arm for such a long time.

I would rather get put to sleep and have the needle when I am asleep - But I would need a needle to be put to sleep with. XD

Getting blood taken is a pain. Needles don't bother me just close my eyes until the needle is out. Or in which ever the case may be. I have got a tattoo before so needle was in me but I never felt it. Guess I have bad arms? LOL.
