TO put it bluntly i am sick of advertising my Haven Rp site, its a great site with loads to offer and 1 of the best Rp sites out there with the game play and storyline. And i have done everything from advertising on bucket loads of promotion sites, affiliate with other Rp sites, advertise on other sites, try and get friends to join, added my site to top site forums, done loads of post exchanges and other deals. But it seems no matter what i do i cant get many active members to the site to Rp, so for now i have closed the site, i can only to so much for so little results for so long before it gets annoying.

If anyone out there wishes to help me promote the site and get it up and running, then i will open the site again and give it another shot. Its a weorth while site so thoughs of you interested please pm me.

Well personally i love this site and i wanan keep it going but so gar all my work has goten me is 2 semi active rpers thats it

You're not alone, i know it sometimes feels like you're just wasting your time... but you have to persevere if you want it to go somewhere.

Maybe you can find a partner, or a friend you really trust who you can share the workload with?

RP sites really need to target the right niche. Its evident that the major audience at FP isn't the right group and so its a time thing. Sooner or later, the right group of people will come and contribute.

I agree, but don't keep doing the same thing over and over again, if it is not working for you. Try something different. Make a change and see if that works.

You need fifty posts to use their advertising forum. That shouldn't take you more than a day though.

Maybe this plus making all the guides in to video how to files could help players make and play there characters?

True, though if you don't have passion for something anymore and don't feel the site could be a success, it's not worth continuing.

Anyway, to your site. It's a pretty unique idea though RPG forums do not appeal to everyone and getting active members is going to be hard.

I think this is the major reason I always gave up too easily, and why I did this time around. I enjoy general chat forums, but I could not make my own stand out from the rest. As of now, I am officially out of ideas, or I'd be opening a forum in a heartbeat. I might try to give it another go in the future, maybe with a different forum niche, but really, it's just too much work and too little time to do it in. I am hoping to get my own laptop soon, so maybe when I have more time to myself, then I'll give it another go with general chat.
