Hi,

I have created a website dedicated for conversions.
I intend to put there almost every converter or calculator you can think of, and the site already contains many.

Please review my site, tell me if you like it and what should be improved.

I would suggest you to change the header image to symbolize more appropriate signs of your website. Maybe some metric systems will best suit the theme.
 
Hi there!

It's giving me mixed messages ... is this a gaming site or conversions?

I clicked on "About Us" and didn't expect a tiled collection of game links? ... unless this is under development??

One issue I see is that you are doing your calculations via javascript. If a site visitor doesn't have javascript enabled, then your site is useless.

Almost all of your conversions can be done with server side scripting, like PHP. In doing this, you guarantee your conversions still happen no matter if there is javascript present or not.

Think of your website as an escallator. If your javascript doesn't execute, your website must still be usable as stairs.
 
I disagree about Javascript. The slice of the web who doesn't have Javascript enabled is very small. Especially with the direction of the web into one-page apps with Angular, many sites depend completely on it with the MVC management on the front-end. Without Javascript enabled, sites like Facebook, YouTube (with HTML5 vids now), many Google Apps, and really any interactive web application goes out the window.

@gamestoenjoy, the best thing to work on, in my opinion, would be to do more Javascript and get a little better at web design. Learn Angular.js (a Google framework) and make your website more responsive. Picking up GIMP or Photoshop and learning how to make mockups would be a great skills.

I agree with carson, Using JavaScript and learning something like Angular.js is the best way to go, you can make your website much more responsive and modern looking. 🙂
 
Redo the design of the site. Currently it looks like spam and I personally would leave the webpage as soon as possible. With that said, (like everyone else said), redesigned the site to make it more fluid and more modern.

Another thing is maybe move some things around. Honestly, it seems pointless to have a bunch of links for the conversions. Maybe have one page that have all conversions but use JS or CSS3 to hide and un hide each conversion?

It is great too see you have a personalized URL. I like the design. In my eyes that is a great website. There is nothing to improve! 🙂
 
The only thing I have to say is that you should redesign your website. Right now, it looks like a website made ten years ago and people might think it's a 'bad' website to visit, because, like cyimking already mentioned, it looks like spam. This website needs a modern, sleek and a slightly professional look. Using all those colours and combining Arial and 'Bitter' does not help to achieve that. The logo is way too big, too.

Anyway: Just keep it simple. Use less colours, use matching fonts (and do not make all of the text look bold) and don't add too many distracting elements. It's about the content of your website, after all, so focus on that. If you are looking for some inspiration, check out a css gallery or whatsoever and you'll see a lot of aesthetically pleasing modern-looking websites.

The logo/banner is HUGE! Most of the website is in plain html text it needs more design in it. Web design is also a art. At least thats what i believe

I improved the layout of the site, added "Popular Conversions" section and added many how useful conversions.
I will be happy if you can review it again 🙂
 
I redesign the site:
* Added icons to the categories in the homepage
* Added popular conversions section
* Made my site mobile friendly
* Improved the layout and the colors
* Added many useful conversions

I hope it looks better now 🙂
