Discussion HQ is my newest project. It's a new forum that is jumping into the general discussion niche. (Which yes, I know, there are already enough of them). But, I've had a bunch of fun creating it.
I tried to make everything simple and sleek. I took a lot of the default options of the registration page and made it look a lot simpler. I edited a theme a bunch and I think it turned out great.
I'd like to hear your opinions on the layout, theme, and more. Everything helps.
I think more edits are needed to remove that feeling of a default theme. I can see the edits and it looks quite good, but I can still see the original theme as well (which to be frank, isn't very appealing).
That grey behind each sub-forum where the name and description lies, could be changed "maybe" to a very light/faint blue or a very light grey, quite like the blue gradient which FP has. I haven't tested to see if that would work, but I just don't feel that grey is working well.
The description beneath the logo needs to be spaced out. On a glance, it seems a jumble of letters. Only when you focus on it, you can make out the words.
I'll just come right out and say that the theme for your site is horrible. Do consider changing it, a good design really helps influence people to join your site, and since it's a general discussion forum, you need some leverage among the millions out there.
