Feedback on Gaming themes

I'm currently in the process of revamping of my site, along with that means redoing my Xenforo skins. I was looking for anyone with good tips on a gaming theme or things you might recommend.

I'm not good at xenforo but I know one in mybb that really rocks, you can check its design as your basis in choosing your theme. https://netpen.info his theme "netpen-pro-gaming" is really cool a combination of bootstrap and modern gaming forum.

I recommend creating your own theme if you have any experience with CSS. That's what I did on my site. I created the theme myself and I'm very proud to say that not only was it enjoyable but my users tend to like it a lot. It's not hard to do at all on Xenforo 2 if that's the software your using. Other softwares make it more difficult but XF 2 makes it much easier to develop a theme than any other software I've seen yet.
