Feedback on my gaming forum

I like what you've done. It's visually appealing, easy on the eye and smooth to navigate.

My only minor criticisms are as a gaming forum I'd perhaps expect to see some images, I didn't find one although my visit was short.

Also the thread listing in each node is interesting but unusual. Fleshing out each thread is a great idea but it quickly pushes new content to a screen scroll. I'm just wondering how that works out for engagement?

I like the colors. It's also good to have a Light & Dark theme for members to choose from. The General Forum could maybe be divided a bit more if you so desire.
Otherwise, I think it's a great Gaming forum with a lot of activity 🙂

Thank you for your feedback.

I would have loved to have had images on the front page but unfortunately, XenForo doesn't create small dimensions for attachments so having a cover photo from threads and using css to minimize it will still pull the original full dimension image so having images on the fontpage will load slow for users and get bad results on PageScore. Maybe in future I can think of doing something like this without implications.

I wanted to have the front page like your typical news page with the title, some of the content's text and the latest reply. I can see how that might cause concern with new content but a user will always have to scroll to find content anyway. And when you're logged in you'll see that new content usually has a indicator to suggest it's new. We also have the "New posts" page as well as the "New posts" widget on the homepage. Things can't go amiss 🙂 Still the same amount of threads as your default thread list.

I like how simple it is. I've always been big on simple. If things are too difficult to use, that'll cause me to leave or just not join in the first place. That's always what'll scare me away the fastest.
