FF makes me laugh

Free Forums has literally turned to poop. They really used to be a great hosting company until they implemented the ads on everyones forums and so forth.

I am honestly glad I left, and moved over to prophpBB.

Actually it's quite possible Liam placed a tracking cookie on FreeForums.org, this will only effect those of you using Internet Explorer. Not sure what it does though ~lol~

Someone fancy reading up about it on Wikipedia?
 
Ok, I guess I have been telling my members a lie. My one seems to keep getting attacked by a virus, although I have never been attacked. I kept assuring him that the only viruses could come from advertisments.

Would be interested to see how bad it is.
 
To anyone brave enough, load a FreeForums.org page in IE, and type this into the browser:

FF is sooo lame, I think everyone has moved.

I think like 3 active people are still left there.

Who is Stormwrench and why is she still there?
 
My guild site in retail wow was with FF, and let me tell you...enemy alliance guilds were breaking into our forums through security holes in the obsolete software versions they were using.

We switched over to paid hosting right after that. ^
 
@JACR: Stormwench is a Former Microsoft emplyee (so she says), who applied to be on the support team at FF.

I like how their latest worthwhile announcement was way back in September, so much for the "We're always adding new and exciting features to our free forum and free blog services." message on their homepage ~lol~
 
Yea. I really wish I could just make a backup and switch, but its not that simple 🙁
 
I remeber when i signed up too them. It was a while back I can't even remember how long ago it was. They really sucked. I was looking for a better host then phpbb it was before I discovered IF and IPB and all of that stuff. ^_^
