FireFox always claims that their browser is so fast and stuff, but I finally noticed it in 3.5, it is super speed!!!!!! :biggrin:

Check out PeaceKeeper, Apple Safari 4 is the fastest browser made for Windows

It depends on the User using the software. IE might be faster for some and FireFox for others. I'll be upgrading to 3.5 when it asks me to.

You can't go from 3.0 to 3.5 you need to download it from Firefox.com

You need the file first 🙂

Opera 10 has "Turbo" which beats out the loading time for any other browser as of yet. See it uses a complex cache system stored on Opera servers and sends you optimized files, meaning a 30k image may only be 5k. It does make things look weird (the images are often distorted), but for Dial-Up users and the such, it's a HUGE difference.

Yet another way Opera is thinking outside the box to fix old problems that still strike *some* browsers 😉

The link says it all. 😛

I like Safari and Chrome. Webkit is just much faster then the Gecko engine used by FireFox. Also FF main strength and weakness is it's extensions, I can block every single annoyance on the internet with extensions.

I had Firefox 3.5 when it was still in beta version. I love Firefox and always upgrade. If my Firefox breaks down I just don't surf the net and go cry in my little corner until it works =D

@Creativebot
As you see being debated in the comments, that was the alpha build of Opera 10. Opera usually does their stages where in "alpha" they just make sure every thing works, it's in beta that they fine tune everything to work perfectly and fix minor bugs.

Opera 10 is fitted with a completely re-written Presto 2.2 Engine along with features such as Turbo, by the time Opera 10 is released in full Opera Software will once again have made a huge break threw in browsing history (even if the speed doesn't get it, Unite will).

It's completely unfair and biased to judge speed results that were done with a browser in alpha, at least when Opera shows faster speeds they were going against a stable version of FireFox 😉

Also, speed isn't everything. Keep in mind that Opera also scores 100% on Acid3 tests while rendering that fast. Let me know when FireFox scores a 100%, and then we'll do some speed tests 😛

There are browsers which may be faster then firefox, but i don't really care, ill still use firefox. The addons for firefox are amazing, better secruity, better options all equals a better browsing experience. That's why i love firefox!

Not true... That is how i upgraded to 3.5. When i clicked the check for updates link, it gave me details on 3.5 and what is offers and gave me a chance to install it or ignore it and make it show never again.

To address that, and to move more users from 3.0 to 3.5 in a shorter span, Mozilla has changed from past practice and started offering the upgrade to Firefox 3.x users today. They can update by selecting "Check for Updates" under the "Help" menu.

I dont care about speed, with a 4MB connection and possibly a 8MB coming soon why would i care?

I'm now using Firefox on my computer again and it's fantastic... the Alexa/pagerank addons are brilliant and whilst I thought Opera was alright when I used it, I will be using FF again now on a permanent basis. 🙂
