Ever since Opera was introduced. It has been on top for on-browser features and power for the whole time.

FF isn't advanced. It has advanced plugins, but not the browser itself.

Re: Firefox, Flock, Opera, Chrome, Safari or Internet Explor

I agree with everything said here, after David telling me about chrome, I decided to move to Opera and its brilliant! I can't believe its got an ad-blocker already built in 🙂

Re: Firefox, Flock, Opera, Chrome, Safari or Internet Explor

And what's even more better is that you can view the source code and remove bits you don't want, apply it, and go back to the site and it's removed. So, those pesky offers that popup and get fixed to the screen can be removed and you can enjoy "freedom" 😛

Re: Firefox, Flock, Opera, Chrome, Safari or Internet Explor

Yes all the prominent features of today's browsing like tabbed browsing, speed dial, Web developer tools, Turbo etc. were built in opera since long.

Opera is the pioneer when it comes to browsers the only reason ff is more popular is because it is open source.

FF being open-source therefore users can design advanced plugins for it.

Opera is the only browser that provides developer tools, server script, ad blocker, Torrent support, Turbo mode (Image compressor) etc. by default.

Moreover Maxthon and Opera are the only two browsers which won't let you in at all to any potentially harmful site.

First place Firefox, second place Google Chrome

That basically explains why Opera is the best!!

Come on, Firefox is the best! 🙂

Chrome is a serious keylogger. I would be careful with it as all your data for I think the past 7 years is archived and can be used against you for what ever reason. Passwords, emails, and all your history can never really be deleted if you use Chrome so that's why I steer clear from it.

*Jaw drops!*

Well, I have read through later pages in this topic before I went back and quoted this post.
I have a member on my website/forums that keeps saying Opera is the best. (What's his trip all about?)

I'm running a MacBookPro with Mac's version of Chrome.
I tried Chrome on my Windows partition. And Chrome sucks nuts on Windows.

Since I'm on a Mac, shouldn't I be more protected from Chrome's BS?
Either way, I also use FF 3.7, and usually use it more for programming, etc.

Uh...
*End transmission.*

It is not a key logger, but it does keep all your search history and sends it in as anonymous. From there that helps google make the ads more for you.

They can not release your info or use it in any crime like way. If they did they would have already been taken down. The ones you need to worry about is your isp.

It is a keylogger, unless you're saying a lecturer at a leading university in Australia is incorrect. Before you even submit data, it records what you have written. Even if it can help you, it can also be used against you, ie. in court cases.

Re: Firefox, Flock, Opera, Chrome, Safari or Internet Explor

I personally prefer Firefox out of them all. I've just been using it for so long I cannot let go of it 😛

Re: Firefox, Flock, Opera, Chrome, Safari or Internet Explor

Same here CuCu! Firefox is the best 🙂

Re: Firefox, Flock, Opera, Chrome, Safari or Internet Explor

Ofcourse it can be used against you if you committed a crime, but if you do not do anything illegal why worry? I know I do nothing illegal,do you?

Again though your isp does the same thing so.. whats the point?

Re: Firefox, Flock, Opera, Chrome, Safari or Internet Explor

ISP is localized so the matter can be discussed with an ombudsman.

You don't need to do anything wrong. You could be writing up a new piece of coding for the mainframe of a big company. Who's to say that Chrome hasn't gotten hold of that coding, if you use some online linked program? The seriousness of this isn't being taken serious enough as any tech guru should know that any form of keylogging undermines the potential of them due to the limitations of what they can and can't perform (eg. something which can't be discussed at FP).
