Firefox more famous or Google Chrome?

i think Firefox is best.. its faster, it have better Addon and plugin and now Personas Themes make it more unique from other browsers...

Opera is faster than FF, they have considerably the same if not better plugins/addons, and you can change the themes as well. Where is the uniqueness?

To the majority of the world, open source or not isn't an issue. Do you think the average Internet user will want to be looking through the coding aiming to fix bugs etc.? I don't think so.

I guess you didn't read my reply to Solidus. I am only talking about your average Internet user and I think I can safely say there are more average Internet users than developer users. If you compare Chrome, FF, Opera, IE etc., you need to compare it from the average standpoint (eg. which browser is faster or which is aesthetically easer to user).

IE is definitely the most know, though as some people say, it sucks. Firefox is probably bigger than Chrome though, but not for long.

IE is most used browser (most rubbish too though) and he fact hat you can't remove it out of windows OS makes it even more popular.

Incorrect You can infact fully remove IE from both vista and 7 with ease. It is even possible in windows xp with some hacking and heavy editing.

Now the more famous between chrome and firefox is about equal.

I mean with Google's advertising and the Mozilla community they have about the same popularity.

I stopped using IE when I discovered Firefox, three PC's and laptop later I am still using firefox, I just hate a machine which tries to insist I use a certain type of software.

The only reason why Internet Explorer would be more popular then any other browser right now is because there are far to many computer users out there still that think Internet Explorer is the only browser and that Internet Explorer is the Internet since it's what comes standard on Windows OS.
