I'm running Firefox 3.0.10 on my Macbook (running Leopard) and tried to download a few add ons before, but for some reason, I couldn't get any of them to work. I tried to download some add ons like AdBlock, FlashBlock and such.

Any ideas as to why this could have occurred? Any solutions? I don't particularly want to uninstall/re-install Firefox, especially if that doesn't solve the problem.

Did you download the Mac version? Oh and if you did it could be that your version is too old ๐Ÿ˜›.

Uhmm The addons he mentioned work for every version.

Oh and there is no mac windows or linux specific addons.

Your problem probably is a bad download or a bad install.

You could google for related issues to make sure of that.

I mean the Mac version of Firefox. ๐Ÿ˜› By the way Fanta is a female ๐Ÿ˜›.

Oh my bad.

Well I do not think the windows or linux version would even install on mac so.. yeah.

Mhm but it has be known to afew times in the past ๐Ÿ˜›.

I think Fanta has forgotten about this thread lol.

*Facepalm* Firefox was made for Mac before Windows (AFAIK). It was the first Mac browser ever made, before Safari even. =.=

Also, I made sure I had the Mac version. It redirects to the Mac download page when you go to the Mozilla site. ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyway, it turns out my Firefox was indeed out of date, which I hadn't even noticed. After updating, it fixed the problem. Thanks Azza. Such a simple solution, but it had me stumped. xD

No problem, the new version is 3.5.3, it's ok but has been crashing alot I think they are trying to fix it, I hope anyways ๐Ÿ˜›.

Haven't had a problem with crashes since updating. I had a couple of crashes on the old version though.

You will experience crashing soon most probably, but nevertheless it's still got awesome features ๐Ÿ˜›, by the way your Firefox should update automatically so why yours didn't is abit weird considering yours was such a old version too.

I probably turned off automatic updates, or I simply clicked 'install later' when the message popped up.

The updates always occur at the most inconvenient times, so I click 'later' then forget I've clicked that...
