Which in your opinion is better? Im currently trying to download the fireworks trial, but what do you think?

Photoshop, FireWorks is more for DreamWeaver, whilst Photoshop is for photos

Photoshop is preferred from my stand but Fireworks is used for certain tasks 🙂

I purchased Photoshop CS3 and absolutely love it - the power is mindblowing. I have never tried Fireworks, but I believe it's more geared for web design images.

I use both but for the last while I have been using Photshop more... Fireworks has it's advantages though...

I have to say Photoshop. I have never used Fireworks but I used Photshop when I go over to my friends house. If you make any thinh Photshop and you tried it will come out ok even if you have no skill at graphic like me.

I use Photoshop for my design work -- though isn't Fireworks like Dreamweaver and is a coding editing program?

Fireworks is more of a lite version of photoshop for designing graphics on the web. For example in photoshop you can save for web and devices, Fireworks saves it like that as normal.

Photoshop in my opinion is much better and more advanced giving you more tools needed for web design work.

Photoshop - Been using it for a number of years and find it very good. Never used FireWorks, might have to check it out.

Well I have them both installed >.>

I took a class with FireWorks at my school and it's "okay" but just "okay" when compared to Photoshop. However, just like any other program, it's about how used to it you are and how well you can use it. I've used Photoshop for awhile and I know quite a few things about it. If I spend some time in FireWorks I could get better with it just the same.

A program can do nothing without a user ;-)

Photoshop is a lot better even though I have never bought a full version of it, I've used both and can say Photoshop is better.

It's not really best to compare them, as they both have different functions. PS (bitmap) is more for photos, while FW (vector) is for the web usually.

I like both, though.
