First Forum-er sighting ever!

This past week I saw my first person ever actually replying on a forum in real life.

I have never seen anyone on a forum before, and I was actually suprised to see this.

I walked up as close as I could without being creepy, and tried to see what it was, and it looked like a support forum for a hosting site.

If anyone by chance is from Munising, MI and forums and sees this topic, that would be creepy.


Have you ever seen anyone "forum" in real life?

That sounds interesting, and no I haven't. I know my mom signed up to a forum that I used to run, and I think she only signed up just to support us, because I never saw her on there posting, but I would be surprised too if I'd seen someone posting on a forum. It doesn't even have to be my own forum, it could be any forum, and I'd still be surprised.
 
Honestly, can't say I've ever stumbled on someone in real life replying to a community forum.

remember that guy TOOL from DA?
i know him well in real life, and he was a moderator for a while.
 
I don't understand. Are you talking about somebody you met in real life that is a member of your forum?
 
I knew a few from my middle school. They were mostly gaming forums or tech forums.
However, after that I never saw anyone posting on a forum. And I have definitely NEVER seen anyone posting on a community forum (like a discussion board).
See my brother on them all the time though 🙂
 
I've never seen somebody posting on a big, community-type forum before, but my school has a forum that we go on in our tech classes.
 
I've seen a few people on forums before. Can't remember what forums they were on though. And I've seen my Dad on car forums before.
 
He means in public he saw some guy posting on a forum and was wondering if any of us had.

I have, my mates do it all the time for their stupid Counter-Strike clan.
 
I saw a guy who looked like he was in his 80s in Addembrooks hospital in Cambridge on a PHPBB3 default theme forum.
 
I've never seen anyone other than my friends offline. I almost met a guy who lives wicked close to me. I want to meet all my British friends though, and my Australian friend.
 
I was on a forum and there was a "girls you know thread".
And I saw a bunch of girls I knew. Turned out he lived in my town...I was staff on the site and he was a top poster..

Never met him in real life though! lol.
(Totally forgot about that experience until re-reading this thread).
