First job?

This might be an very long story. This was back in 2009 and I meet two sisters at an farming market and that they said they are starting to open an shop in December and so a week before Christmas I started the job for 90 minutes in the morning from 8am and then 90 minutes at 4.30pm from Monday till Friday.

2009 was also my last year of school and I have missed year 10. Anyway I worked for 6 months till I left as I was an damn dog body, and wasn't happy. It's was an deli that also sold food and drinks

Waitress, and I hated it. LOL! The chef gave me grief all the time about tying up my hair which was kept in a tight braid all the time while I was working. Dunno what she wanted me to do. While her wash-up girl had really long hair tied back and not braided in the kitchen. >.>

An excuse to bitch and moan. I was told by the hotel that I must keep my hair in a braid at all times since it was really long. If that was acceptable to management, then should be to her.

Oh and at dinner time, you got a dinner from the kitchen. She would give you a friggen huge feed. If you didn't eat ALL of it, she'd get mad, so we'd bin half the leftovers in the back kitchen bin before binning the scrapings in the main kitchen bin. XD. She was a big lady. hahah!

My mother was a waitress for twenty years. It seems like a hard job. D:

@MeowsePad it can be for sure. I worked as a waitress in a few different places, totalling around 2 years. Some was worse than others. Chefs are under a lot of pressure, so they tend to take it out on the waiting staff. One time, a chef pretty much chewed me up, spat me out and stamped all over me XD. After work, he bought me a drink to apologise for being such an asshole. I was still mad, but accepted his apology. Sometimes they can go too far. He attacked me for something that was totally out of my control, but after that night, he went and fixed it.

Yeah, I can understand that. My mom worked at one restaurant as a waitress for around ten years, so she ended up being the most senior person there. Everyone knew not to mess with her because she didn't take abuse from anyone.

My first job was working on farms and stuff. I guess my first "real" job was as a lawncare guy. It worked out okay but I only did it for one summer when I was 14.

Paper boy, but not the "throw in a paper in the mailbox-type". I was a door-to-door salesman at an age of 11.

My first job was as a secretary/administrative assistant in a small office. I liked it and learned a lot of valuable transferable skills.
