First learned how to type?

It seems we all know how to type very well now these days. Although, how many people can recall learning how to type? Personally, I remember. It was in the 3rd/7th grade, we took typing lessons briefly each year, and since I have been foruming so much, I am speedy at typing text! So, question is now for you. Can you recall first learning when to type?

See! It is hard?!? Took me a while to remember how it all came to be me an typing, but I still remember my teachers' names as well -happy-

I "learned" in 6th grade. I dont type the way youre supposed to now, I just poke the letters. I can type faster than my friends that type correctly can though, so I dont mind too much -D-

I basically taught myself over time. Long before the business class(Although it felt like typing class) that I had to take so I was basically wasting my time there. ~lol~

In grade school we had a program called "All the Right Type" or something like that that helped us learn a bit. But like above I taught myself how to type faster, etc.

nope i dont remember either. but i do remember learning how to touch type (typing without looking at the keyboard)

In the UK i am pretty sure we don't have typing lessons, we just pick it up from other lessons like ICT.

But I don't understand. There's nothing to simply typing? You just push the keys?

I dd lessons at school, but I still don't type correctly, I just usde my two index fingers. However I can type very fast this way so it doesn't bother me.

I can't remembered typing lessons because I didn't take any. Even today I am not typing like your suppose to (Where you don't look at the key board and know where all the buttons are).

I remember watching my brothers on the computer at a young age, that's why I type so fast.

i knew how to type before but they made us take a class freshman year to learn how to do the correct hand positions and everything
