You just go by the closest topic ID to the start.

Which would be -> viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2

Of course it wouldn't be in forum ID 24 but that's the easiest way of me finding it.

it was freeforums so no backups i believe

Oh right. Because if it was a backup then it would've been the same ID number / Same topic.

We actually had everything moved over from the free host to paid hosting so we didn't lose anything (apart from a handful of accounts and posts during the transfer)

I would love to know who actually invented promotion forums. It must have somehow been created by someone back in the days.

Fowler and EFC made the forum.

You see that Fowler is user #2: http://forumpromotion.net/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=2
and EFC (although it appears his username is "Wagner" right now for some reason) is user #3: http://forumpromotion.net/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=3

User number 1 was probably FreeForums.org hidden admin account they use to control their free hosted forums. 😛

As for who invented promotion forums in the 1st place? The 1st Ive ever seen were on Invision Free. There were probably ones before that though.
