Hey guys - my new relationships forum got my first visitor from Bing. Given how few people use Bing I reckon that's a huge milestone :yuck:.

Apart from that my forum seems to be doing OK. I don't have any "real" posters yet although I have had a couple of people register who weren't spammers.

The best thing so far... a bounce rate of 23%. This is the lowest of any of my sites. Forums still rock 😀.

I don't know if this forum will be a success but I have done well in this niche over the years.

Other minor milestones:
  • First Google Search Console search term for an on-topic phrase. And I'm in at #86.
  • First attempt at posting exchange has gone really well.
  • Another competitor has filled up with spam and will likely close down.

You could get more users from Bing if you had added your site to the webmaster center - here. My advice? Do it. Add it to Webmaster Tools, because Bing is actually part of the Microsoft ecosystem. Windows 10? It's in there. Xbox One? Windows 10-powered. So, any time someone searches your site via voice, or through the search engine, you get queries to your site that way.

Google is following suit with their new Alexa system. On top of that, Alexa is being added to Call of Duty, and Microsoft is even considering adding it to their Xbox ecosystem for compatibility reasons.

I thought Alexa was part of Amazon.

I thought it was google because of the logo on the actual Alexa product. But doing research gives me results that Alexa is indeed part of Amazon. My bad. I apologize.
