Techncially, yesterday marked the Five Year Anniversary of Generation Z. We started on InvisionFree on July 8, 2006 as an Anime/Magna forum. We only have four Members still active from that date. We managed a whole 22 Members on InvisionFree before moving to iPBFree. I actually thought 22 Members was a huge amount back then.
In December 27, 2006, I started creating Generation Z on iPBFree because it was more advanced than InvisionFree and I thought it would be an upgrade. I let the Members know about the move on January 1, 2007 and we moved as a whole to iPBFree as the Anime/Magna forum. Sometime in mid July 2007 we finally decided to change to a Power Ranger forum. At that time we had 21 Members. Fast forward a few months and by the end of the year we had 300 Members. At the beginning of 2008 we started averaging nearly 100 registrations a month and we continued to grow. We grew rapidly until July 13, 2010 when iPBFree went down completely. We had no idea why and still have received no explanation. All we knew was they weren't coming back. By the end of the iPBFree era we had nearly 6,000 Members.
As soon as I figured out iPBFree wasn't going to be coming back up, I started a temporary board known as ReGeneration Z to spread the unfortunate news. We stayed on the temporary board until finding JCInk. The new board was created on July 15, 2010 and we had to have everyone completely reregister. We continued with our Power Ranger theme until April 23, 2011 when we started switching our theme to a 90's Nostalgia Board. We currently have 307 Members.
I thought it would be nice to include a little history in this topic. Anyway, today officially marks the Five Year Anniversary of Generation Z. Ironically, a week from today, Generation Z was created on JCInk which means our One Year Anniversary on JCInk is exactly a week from today. Either way you look at it, I think today is a day to celebrate.
