Do you prefer if your forum (design) has a Fixed or Fluid width? And why?

I always liked fixed, it seems more organized and neat for some reason.

This. I always chose to do a fixed website layout rather than fluid, and always came out looking better.

Elastic. Some parts need to be fixed, others can be free to move around.

I prefer fluid, simply because it's a lot better for people with larger resolution screens. That being said, I've always found fixed easier code-wise.

I agree with this, can't really say anything more or less.

Fixed for me or something that wouldn't allow for the width to be more than 1000 pixels. Otherwise the lines of text would be too long and this is a huge usability issue.

As someone who now uses a larger resolution, fluid is preferable.

A very good point. And, maybe for that reason you should test your forum out on different browsers and various size screens with varying resolutions to ensure it looks right to everyone.
