Okay, Well I'm at a stump now. Because Iv tried almost everything I know. Basically when I go onto either firefox or internet explorer it doesn't load on my vista computer. So this also means I cannot download any drives unless I use my XP computer and transfer using a USB Drive. Anywho anyone got any ideas on how to fix this?

There's some sort fo driver you need to get onto the Internet (but I've forgotten the name). Get a friend to download it for you, load it on, then proceed to download the rest of your drivers.

A friend of mine was talking about this the other day.

Use windows update, It does not need firefox or IE. You just download crucial updates and maybe it gets fixed.

incorrect, windows update connects to the microsoft update website and downloads updates.

Downloading = internet which it seems he does not have.

What you need to do,raymond

Is download your wireless and wired connection drivers.

Then install them, that should fix your problem.

The problem seems to be about the browsers not loading, not anything to do with his internet connection.

I would agree fowler, but ti seems none of the web browsers he is using works.

This normally only happens with no wireless or wired drivers.

From my understanding the browsers don't start up as programs, rather than starting up and giving a connection timeout error as if the connection was faulty.

My suggestion is to test Opera / Chrome. If they work as a new install then just re-install FF and IE. If they fail as well, report back as such.

Iv tested every browser stated above. Sorry Ghost didn't work 🙁

Okay go to your drivers

And see if you have your drivers for wired and wireless.

Believe me Like I said everything how it should be well just by skimming and trying to look into my own drives which are all @ 100% could just by vista maybe have to reinstall that. All drives are 100% good for online usage.

Start - Right click my computer - Properties - Hardware - Device Manager - Expand everything - Check for yellow ! or ? or anything abnormal - Tell me if there is anything that has ! ? next to it (I know your FF and IE arent working but tell me everything if anything because then we can make sure your whole PC is up to date/working).

Refer to links I gave you.

If I don't end up fixing your problem then you should just get XP because it's the best ^_^.

*Cough* my first directions are for a XP machine, but vista wont be too much different should just have different names.

Goodluck, P.S: Try emailing Mozilla first btw LOL.

How can Browsers not starting up properly have to do anything with his wireless drivers or wired drivers (which are universal)? Lmfao. People need to do their homework before giving false information, Fowler is correct.

Your browsers are not starting up for some reason, either something is blocking them or you have some serious error. If there was a problem with drivers, the browser would report a 'Page Not Found' when you try to access any server. Have you tried pinging a server? Go into Start > Run > type 'cmd'. Now type 'ping google.com', what happens?

Once again, Any normal help isn't working. I contacted Microsoft and they said Vista had a bug within it's built and 90% of the Vista made computers didn't get this bug guess mine was one of them figures. Any who this topic wasn't to make fun of people nor to make people seem bad about themselfs. Some people are not educated within computers as much as others.

And for those of you who made fun of others giving feedback to help me out, I know tons of tricks you could only dream of knowing 😛

They haven't provided you with a fix? Too be honest, no one is making fun of anyone. People offer wrong solutions when people that know better have already stated that it's not the right one. Forums get a bad name from some of the public on giving out false help, so we need to keep it minimal as possible 😉

And as for tricks, if it's computer related, I'm sure everyone knows tricks others don't, it's how you use the machine after all 😉 Just need to find a trick to get your browsers to start up.

Excuse us for trying to help and since you know it all we just wont bother right?

Not really, Fowler already stated that the drivers have no effect on the browsers. The drivers control the hardware on the system, not browser software. Yet driver specific help was continued to be given, the correct state of mind and attitude was present, but the wrong solution was also there.

Sorry if it sounded harsh and offended someone but grow some skin as it needed to be said

Whatever, I couldn't care less some people think they know it all, I just ignore them. Enough said ill be leaving this thread.
