I am in process of converting my forum to Xenforo. I have them locally and managed to import users and threads. But posts somehow are not attached to threads. I am not sure what is wrong. I do not have a decent understanding of the Xenforo database.
With a lot of luck, I managed to add users to xf_user and discussions to xf_thread. But somehow not able to link posts with xf_posts. Not sure which part has gone wrong. If you feel like giving some tips or pointers, it will be great. Thanks.
I feel like an idiot for not liking post-2012 web design and using tons of JS everywhere on the other hand with no way of turning it off.
Could just be because my mindset is a lot older than most "modern people" and that I feel like a lot of ordinary people are starting to become frustrated with modern web design's insistence on pushing hardware limits and jumping things in one's face too, so maybe an alternative could be marketed in such a fashion that they're functionally more simplistic, less eye candy/dynamic but actually works when you want it to and when you want it to... kinda like how the Game Boy sold
To be fair, XenForo isn't even as bad as the likes of Flarum or Discourse (it's usable with JS off, if I remember, that's a good thing) and that's saying a hell of a lot...
