Anyone else here a fan of Folk-Punk music? I personally love a bit of punk on acoustic instruments. Folk-Punk is of course a bit more than that but it's the basic idea.

Some artists I like include:
Andrew Jackson Jihad
Filthy Thieving Bastards
Ghost Mice
This Bike is a Pipe Bomb
Wingnut Dishwasher's Union
Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains

YES! My friend just recently turned me onto them. They're awesome.

I'll have to give the rest of these bands a shot now.

Oh damn I didn't see anyone responding to this thread. Yeah AJJ is awesome they're my favorite band in the genre, followed by Ghost Mice.

It seems that lately I've been unable to listen to any other genres. Listening to these bands just makes me want to pick up an acoustic guitar and start playing some tunes

Haven't gotten that much into the sub-genre, but I love my fair share of Flogging Molly.
Haven't actually heard them before, will check it out.

Yeah they sound pretty cool I'll probably downloads some of their stuff 😀.

Also started listening to Mischief Brew recently

If you're into folk punk try these artists also:
Spoonboy
Front Of Resistance
Mischief Brew
Evan Greer
Defiance, Ohio (My favorite)

Thanks, I've heard of most of those thanks to Plan-It-X Records which are to underground folk-punk like Asian Man Records is to underground ska but I've only listened to Mischief Brew. I'll check the rest out though, thank you! 🙂
