On one of my forums, the font is too small to read so I thought of increasing it. But it might not bother some people. Do you think JobsInNYC.net has too small of a font? It sort of reminds me of the font on bbPress, the forum software for WordPress.

Font size doesn't look to be an issue, I would say the biggest problem is that there is a lot of white on that website, black text does not look good with white backgrounds, especially when white is overused. On a website, they just contrast, because a screen isn't paper, it emits light and white is very bright.

That's strange cause many like black on white - sort of like how it is with white paper and ink.

If you think the font is pretty small then why not enlarge it a bit? For me, the bigger the font, the better since the reader wouldn't have a hard time reading. But, of course, there's a limit to the bigness. A moderately bigger font is easier to read and it's a plus.

bigger font is better it looks good and better for the reader...so you can increase it better...

Font size is definitely something to consider for the aesthetics of the design and readability of a site. I'd say the choice would be partially determined by the general audience of the site. If you know a lot of older people will be your main audience, then that would suggest you need a larger font.

I really don't like small font. However, ZetaBoards and a bunch of other themes seem to be into that.
