On my first visit I notice the logo/banner, it's nice, the font is clear, it's not overly fancy and has a gentle gradient, I don't know too much about football but the player images suggest more of a European chat forum as opposed to a UK based one, I'm assuming the initial chat is more English team based in general? You can't go far wrong with a red/black and white theme, the colours go well. You haven't over cluttered your home page and everything seems pretty easy to navigate.

Everything seems well placed, I like the added widgets at the side of the forum. I personally would have called the Status Updates section something different, Your title there doesn't really explain what those posts actually are. It took me a good while to realise that they are like Facebook comments, at first I thought they were latest posts?
You have a decent amount of categories and haven't gone overboard, I think you pretty much cover all UK and European football discussions, I would however have liked to see some descriptions below each category for those that don't know too much about football, rather than having to hover over them. I only discovered the descriptions by accident. Likewise with the Mainsite, which is a great resource, I think that page may be getting overlooked which is a shame. Your off topic section fits well within your genre.
What you have looks nice but it's a little confusing at times.

4,425 posts in a month is a great achievement and it appears that around 50% of your registered users contributed well to that total rather than it being all staff related. While there is massive competition in this genre of forum you appear to have gathered a good number of members quickly and got them to join in on the discussions. You have a good spread of posts across the board, just watch that the gaming section doesn't outrun the football chat as that has as many posts as the Premier League category and members seem to spend a lot of time chatting in their status which may take posts away from the forum. I do like the feature but it could eventually kill off the forum.

I personally think that you are way too over staffed, you currently have 4 Admin and 3 Moderators. For a forum of your size you would really only need 2 Admin and a maximum of 2 Moderators to control everything. Of course if/when your site grows bigger you would need to take extra staff but right now I can't see how so many can be utilised adequately?
Your staff team do not stand out from the crowd, it's a little hard to determine staff from members, try making them a different colour. While you do have a different user bar for them it is only a subtle difference, again a separate colour would help.

I like your descriptions, they are informative and well written, friendly and fun. The spelling, grammar and punctuation look fine to me. I don't particularly see any text speak or too much foul language (which can be expected in football chat) the majority of members answers in posts are constructive and well written also.
