First Impressions & Appearance

When I first visited, I thought wow, nice theme. I really like the color's. The dark background puts more emphasis on the main content, which is light and easy to read. The logo looks great too, it's not overly complicated, it's easy to read and goes well with the color's of the forum. The navigation is nice and simple and the main width of the forum is great. It's not small enough that things look too close together, so great work. If I had to say anything was wrong, it would probably be that Gerard looks out of place with his arm g, posoing across to the rightsibly make him the first render in the line.

Site Layout

You have the correct amount of forums. Each section looks like it has a lot of activity and I can see that more discussion is happening around the main Football areas. All of the categories and forums are in the correct place. you don't have anything on the forum which shouldn't be there. You are a great looking forum for Football discussion, and that is all it is. Many people don't want loads of add-ons and other content and I can safely say you don't have any of that. Personally, my favourite thing about the forum is the post area. Specifically the way you show the user's choice in Football team by showing the clubs badge in their information on the left. I don't think I've seen that before.
In my opinion, I think you could show the forum descriptions by default, instead of having to hover over the titles before you can read them. Having a description visibly available to read without having to hover over anything could be better for the board, as it could possibly stop topics being posted in the wrong section and it saves the members the annoyance of hovering each title to read what the forum is for.

Statistics and Activity

Being open for only 2 months I can see that you have great activity already. Just over 7,100 posts in 2 months is a great achievement for any forum especially when you only have 142 members. This shows you have some dedicated members and these statistics could be more than doubled in the next 2 months, if the activity and discussion is continued. Quite a lot of the activity is in the Football forums, which is great because of the genre of your board ofcourse but, quite a lot of posts are in the off-topic forums. Nearly 2,000 posts altogether have been posted in these sections. Being a Football forum, it would probably be better if more posts were made in the Football forums as you only have just over 3,000 in these sections. Imagine fans who come to the board and see quite a lot of activity in the forums not directed towards Football, what will they think?

Staff Moderation

Well, you have 2 administrators and 2 moderators, which is probably a good amount for a forum of your size. I can also see that all staff members are active and have logged in within the last 24 hours. The staff also have a great amount of posts each, which looks great when other people view the forum. It shows you are joining in with the discussion and not just being staff, so to speak. Searching through some topics, I could see that the staff keep everything clean and I couldn't see any signs of spam, flaming, or any other kind of content which could damage the look of your board. It's great you have a staff page for anyone wishing to know who runs the forum. Many don't have this page and it's the first thing I look for whenever I need to contact a member of staff.

If I had to say something was wrong, I would say that one of your moderators could do with being more active around the forums, posting wise. They have around 5x less posts than the other staff have.

Spelling/Grammar & Professionalism

Again, searching through topics I could see that the staff have kept their spelling and grammar to a great standard. Comma's, full stops, capital letters and various other punctuation have all been used in the correct areas, well done. The forum titles and categories all have the correct spelling and looking through each of the descriptions I couldn't find any mistakes. Although, I could see you use an exclamation mark at the end of most of the forum descriptions, some of which could just be a full stop. I looked through some of the members posts thinking I would find some bad language such as swearing etc and I was surprised to see that the ones I looked at were all clean. They all had good spelling and grammar, and this is not something I would of thought I'd see on a Football forum, as I know many fans like to curse.

Strong Points

A great theme and logo. Your activity is brilliant for being 2 months old.

Things to Improve

Possibly make the forum descriptions readable by default.
