For the love of GOD tell me who is the best host . . .

Freeforums.org is starting to piss me off, there's always something wrong, they don't tell you when they're doing something and your board goes offline without any explanation, when they fix something something else breaks etc . . .

I would like to change hosts but don't know what others there are or what are the best one(s)

Get phpBB softare (or anyone you choose) and pay for cheap hosting, there are tons of hosts out there that have special offers and great plans -happy-

I was support staff at FreeForums for 4 months. They didn't even tell us (support team) what maintenance they were doing...or when they were doing it. In fact, they weren't even able to tell us the causes / solutions to half of the problems.

You've made a good choice, get out of there as fast as you can. Forumotion is a good host, but I hear they're quite restrictive as to what you can do in the Admin Panel. Unfortunately, FreeForums offer some half-decent features on their network but like you say when something is fixed, something else breaks.

Have you tried prophpBB?

Freeforums don't know themselves what maintenance they were doing as they haven't got a clue what they are doing really -lol-

I can picture FF staff in my head...

Their normal day
1) Wake up and login to their account
2) Ask around to see what they're doing that day
3) Receive no answers but pretend their in the loop anyway
4) Pretend to work but actually make a bigger mess than what it was before
5) Log off for the night

I am pretty sure alot of FF's problems are caused by them not doing things right and taking shortcuts and making things worse.
